Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • Of the Scriptures

We believe the Bible to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. (Psalm 12:6-7; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • Of the True God

There is one, and only one, true and living God, who is infinite, without beginning or ending. He is a spirit (John 4:24). God is a trinity, and in the unity of the Godhead there are three distinct yet equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)

  • Of Sin and Salvation

Man was created in innocence by God, but by voluntary transgression fell from this sinless state. By the sin of one man, all are now sinners and under the judgment and condemnation of that sin. (Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23)

The salvation of sinners is by grace through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who took upon Himself the likeness of man, yet without sin. By His death He made a full atonement for the sins of man, providing redemption through His blood, because without the shedding of blood is no remission of sin, and the shed blood of Christ cleanses man from all sin. This atonement only comes to man by his individual repentance, confession, and faith. Christ’s atonement was the voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner’s place, the Just dying for the unjust. (Philippians 2:7-8; Romans 5:6-8)

  • Of the Church

The New Testament church is a local, visible, autonomous assembly. Jesus Christ established His church during His earthly ministry, prior to the events of Acts chapter two and the day of Pentecost. A Baptist church is a congregation of baptized believers. Church officers are pastors and deacons. The church has the absolute right of self-government and Christ is the head of the church. (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:11-12)

  • Of the Return of Christ and Related Events

Jesus Christ will physically return to the earth. His second coming will be preceded by a chronology of last day’s events, beginning with a pre-tribulational, pre-millennial rapture. The rapture will be followed by a seven-year tribulation and reign of antichrist. The tribulation will culminate with Armageddon when the Lord Jesus Christ returns victoriously. Upon the second coming of Christ, the Lord shall reign in righteousness for one thousand years, climaxing with the final condemnation of Satan and the last judgment of Revelation chapter twenty. Eternally thereafter, the Lord Jesus Christ shall reign for ever and ever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
